SplitStock Android app, recorded walkthrough

The Android app

Five screens from open
to owned.

What follows is not a mockup. These are captures from the shipped Android app, played back in order at the speed you would actually move through them. Open the app, tap a company you recognise, type an amount in rupees, slide to buy, keep the certificate.

  1. 01

    Open to your position

Portfolio value, unrealised gain and what is left to invest, on the first screen. Companies you are watching sit underneath, priced in dollars and rupees at once.

  2. 02

    Tap the company

Apple at 311.97 dollars, and the same price as 29,674.59 rupees a share. One tap to the chart, your existing fraction, and the buy button.

  3. 03

    Type rupees, not shares

Enter 100. The sheet resolves it into 0.00336988 shares at the live rate before you commit, and tells you plainly when the US market is closed.

  4. 04

    Get the certificate

Every filled order issues a certificate of fractional ownership carrying the company, the exact fraction, the amount in both currencies and the date.

  5. 05

    Watch it sit in holdings

Positions, amount invested and gain in one list. This is the screen you will actually live in once you own more than one company.

SplitStock Android app, five step recorded walkthrough

Why SplitStock

Built for the person
buying their first share.

Most investing apps are built for people who already trade. This one is built for the far larger group who know exactly which companies they believe in and have never been given a sane way to buy them.

₹100

Start at a hundred rupees

You do not need the price of a whole share. Put in an amount that feels normal and receive the fraction it buys, calculated and shown before you confirm.

1:1

A real fraction, not a bet

The product is designed around actual fractional ownership of US listed shares. No contracts for difference, no synthetic index, no wrapper that tracks a price without holding anything.

Filing ready

Records your CA can use

Foreign asset details and gains information are produced as part of the flow, so the reporting you owe at year end is a download rather than a reconstruction.

Paper money

Inspect it before you fund it

The sandbox runs the full journey on live market data with nothing at stake. Judge the product on how it behaves, not on how the marketing reads.

How it works

Three steps. Nothing to decode.

Each step exists to answer one question: do I know what is happening with my money right now?

Verify once

A single digital identity check using PAN, Aadhaar and a selfie. Do it once and it is done, not once per transaction.

Fund in rupees

Money moves through the RBI Liberalised Remittance Scheme. The conversion, the charges and the timing are shown before anything leaves your account.

Own and track

Your fraction appears in the portfolio with a record you can download. Sell when you decide to, in rupee amounts, the same way you bought.

Available today. The Android app and the browser sandbox both walk this flow end to end. Funded investing opens in phases as brokerage and regulatory arrangements complete.

A registered company stands behind it

SplitStock is built and operated by Splitshare Technologies Private Limited, an Indian company with CIN U74909UP2025PTC235707, registered in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Regulated rails by design

Intended brokerage infrastructure involves Alpaca India in GIFT City under IFSCA, and Alpaca Securities LLC under FINRA and SIPC. Those agreements are still being finalised and we say so on every page.

The product is open to inspection

The sandbox runs on live US market data with paper money. You can test the flow, break it, and decide for yourself before any money is involved.

Straight answers

The questions you should
be asking.

If an answer here is uncomfortable, that is the point. You should know this before you fund anything.

Is investing abroad from India actually allowed?

Yes. Resident individuals may remit up to the annual Liberalised Remittance Scheme limit for permitted purposes including the purchase of foreign securities. SplitStock is designed to operate inside that framework rather than around it. You remain responsible for staying within your own annual limit across all remittances.Reference: RBI Liberalised Remittance Scheme, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999.

Do I really own the share, or is it a derivative?

The product is designed for real fractional ownership of the underlying US listed share, held through the intended brokerage arrangement. It is not a contract for difference, not a synthetic tracker and not a pooled fund unit. Until the brokerage arrangements are final, the sandbox represents this flow with paper money.

What does it cost me?

Installing the app and using the sandbox cost nothing. For funded investing, the charges that apply are the conversion spread, any bank remittance fee, and the platform fee, all displayed on the review screen before you confirm. We would rather lose a signup than surprise you after the fact.

What is the tax position?

Aggregate remittances above seven lakh rupees in a financial year attract twenty percent tax collected at source. TCS is adjustable against your total tax liability when you file, but it does affect cash flow at the time of funding. Gains on foreign shares and the foreign asset disclosure in your return are your responsibility, and the app produces the records you need for both.Reference: Section 206C(1G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

When can I put real money in?

Funded access opens in phases once the brokerage and regulatory work is complete. There is no countdown on this page and no artificial queue pressure. Give us an email and you will hear when your turn arrives, or ignore us and use the sandbox for free in the meantime.

Can I lose money?

Yes. US securities can fall as well as rise, principal may be lost, and rupee movements can reduce your return even when the underlying share gains. Past performance does not indicate future results. Nothing on this website or in the app is investment advice.Read the full risk disclosure at /risk.

Is there an iPhone app?

Not yet. iOS is under development. The Android app is live and the browser sandbox works on any phone, including an iPhone, so you can use the product today either way.

What happens to my data?

We collect the minimum a regulated flow requires, use it for the stated purpose, and do not sell it. Identity documents are handled under the Indian data protection framework and retained only as long as the law requires.Governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Two ways in

Your first piece of the
world starts at ₹100.

Install the Android app, or spend two minutes in the sandbox and judge it yourself. Both are free, and neither asks for a card.

Using this website, the sandbox or the app does not create a brokerage relationship and does not place a real order.
